I realized from this exercise that more planning is required to present clean data visualization. I also used the Free Transform Tool to draw a picture for ‘courses’ and the ‘globe’ was to tell the number of countries/global partners. Text creation was a totally new experience in Adobe Illustrator for me but one that I have just developed an appetite for. My simple infographic submission in SVG format Infographic on MOOC uses the Big 3 logos as graphics for the ‘story’. I finally decided on MOOC as a theme because the top 3 players have logos that are easier to start working on. I considered a few options for stories including concepts in Rediscovering the Gospel but pictures take too much time to create in a tool that is new to me. It became clear to me that there should be some pictures to tell a story in an infographic. I examined some of the artifacts in the 90 Best Infograhics (2015) to appreciate the good ones. This third Technology Module provided me an opportunity to really consider what infographics are, and what is not an infographic.
